On Monday we read the book, "Sneezy the Snowman" and did a handwriting activity that included melting snowmen!
You will find their artwork displayed outside our classroom!
This week we also made Christmas cards.
Some of them we will take to Christian Care, and some of them we mailed to missionary families!
Susan came to visit us again...

The students worked on gifts for mom and dad...shhh! It's a secret;)
Lastly, on Thursday was the Spelling Bee! Our class was able to watch the 6th-8th graders...they did a great job!

Crafting our way to Christmas!
This is my eighth year teaching Kindergarten and First Grade. I feel excited and blessed to able to do what I love! I praise God that I have the love and support of my husband and four children as I head into each new adventure: sharing God's love while instilling the joy of learning in young hearts!

This week our shepherd boy made an appearence! He is "The Shepherd on the Search" and we read the book to go along with him. We named him David:) Here he is in the first hiding spot...

In Phonics I had the Kinders spread out and let them use the Firstie's desks...they felt pretty big;)
In Social Studies we learned about symbols for our country an about how the Statue of Liberty was a gift from France to America.
We made crowns to wear like the Statue of Liberty!
During our center time at the end of the day we got out our marble run. What great teamwork!
It looks like I might be out of a job soon;)....

In Social Studies we have been learning about the different freedoms our country has. On Monday we learned about the freedom of the press and created our own classroom newspaper!
We also decorated our classroom for Christmas!
