Politicians, Post Cards, and Pumpkins!

In Social Studies this week, we learned about leaders...mayor, governor and president! We talked about voting and how our leaders get elected. 

Then we took a classroom vote to find our favorite animal!

We also learned about Postal employees, during Social Studies.

Both grades made their own postcards...

Firsties continued their lesson on hygiene during Health class and they made their own bars of soap!

Kinders practiced sight words using stamps and playdough...

We had pumpkin science this week! 

After reading "The Pumpkin Patch Parable" we cleaned out a carved pumpkin to match the story.

Then we made our own "pumpkin pets"! (or monsters😂)

Fall Field Trip Fun!

We learned about restaurant workers during Social Studies this week. Then we made our own restaurant and took turns with the different jobs!

Firsties learned about taking care of their bodies during Health class. Then we turned it into a science class by putting Ivory soap into the microwave...

For Science this week we learned about our ears and how sound makes our eardrums vibrate and sends a message to our brain! 

Then we made "phones" out of cups and string.
