This week in Social Studies we learned about our nation's capital city, Washington, D.C.
I gave all of the students air-dry clay to create their own monuments or statues...but mostly they just had fun with the clay!

Then we made American flag wind socks...

We also learned about our first president, George Washington, and painted giant quarters!

Firsties continued their safety unit during Health, and we talked about street safety.
They created some pretty cool looking bicycle helmets!
