Random Acts of Kindness!

Even though Valentine's Day was more than a week past, we were still able to do all of our fun Valentine's things, despite the "blizzard" of 2021!

My favorite week of the year... RAK week!

It's so fun to watch the students spread love!
We finally got our Valentine's Day party! Thank-you to all of the moms involved!

They did a great job making notes and pictures to give to their RAK person...

During Social Studies we learned about Mt. Rushmore...
Then we did coin rubbings to put the presidents on our "mountains"...
Good job to everyone who entered the coloring contest! The students had a lot of fun voting for their favorite pictures!
Firsties learned about safety in a snow storm during Health.
We even made our own storm in a jar!
Lastly, during Science, we learned about force and levers...
Our class had a blast launching marshmallows!

An almost "normal" week!

Kinders started the week learning to count by 5s in Math...

Each foam piece has a number by 5...they did a great job putting them in order!

In Social Studies we continued our study of America by learning all about Plymouth Rock.
Then we painted our own rocks...
On Tuesday we "traveled" on to Washington DC and talked about all the large monuments and structures you can visit there.
The students used air-dry clay to create their own structures!

Firsties learned about boat safety during Health and made boats to go along with the lesson...

Yay! Field trip day! Thanks for all the mom help!

During Science we learned about magnets!
