Dr. Seuss Week!

 Dr. Seuss week was so much fun!

Hat Day!



We hid "Things" around the school and let everyone in school try to guess how many there were!

(There were 24)
During Social Studies we learned about Mexico and the difference between a siesta and a fiesta!
Of course, a fiesta needs a piñata!



Silly Sock Day!


The Kinders tried out some new phonics centers this week...

During Science we started a new unit...Animals!
We made bird feeders:)


Firsties helped to make the feathers for these angel wings during Art class!


Cozy / Pajama Day!

Plus+ Movie and Popcorn! We watched the "Gruffalo" movie. (Based on the book by Julia Donaldson)



Warm weather and field trip! This is the life:)

 In Social Studies this week, we switched from America, to the study of the world! 



Kinders practiced sight words by making them from playdough...
It was warm and dry outside!!



Our first stop in our world study was Canada!
We made Canadian flags and used a salad spinner to make our maple leaves red...


The Firsties finished the final drafts of their George Washington stories and took turns reading them to each other.

Our field trip to the Muncie Children's Museum was a blast!
We started with a program about animal families...

Then we played!!
