From Washington to Water-colors...

Kinders and Firsties learned about Washington D.C. during Social Studies...after learning about all the monuments and buildings, we used clay to design our own!

What started as the Washington Monument, turned into an ice-cream cone...and a rocket...:)

In Science we learned about rain....maybe if we study snow next week we'll actually get some!

Social Studies also taught us about our 1st president, George Washington...
 We water-colored our own quarters...
With Mrs. Girod's class, the Kinders helped make sight words and sentences.

The Kinders also practiced reading rhyming words with our "Mitten Match".

Back into the swing of things....

We jumped right back into things after a wonderful Christmas break! During Social Studies we learned about American Territories. They all had something in common...sandy beaches!
So we created sand art! Thanks Mrs. Steffen;)

I couldn't help but take a pic of these diligent workers!
We also learned some symbols of our country this week...like the American flag...

Firsties found a new use for paper-towels during Health class...
Way more fun than cleaning up spills;)

The kiddos had a blast putting together these gingerbread houses...Leftover from our Christmas party before break;) Thank you Alivia and Mom:)

Lastly, for the week, the Firsties practiced A-B-C order for the first time...
