This week Liz stopped in a couple of times to show our class her dissections...a clam and a starfish!
During Social Studies we learned about the job of salesperson and made our own store in the classroom...
In First Grade Health we talked about the different parts of our eyes; pupil, iris, and eyelid.
Then we made our own "I spy" bottles...
Steele Farms!
In Science we learned about the changing color of leaves. We read the book, "Leaf Man", by Lois Elhert and made leaf creatures!
Lastly, this week the Firsties were able to watch the Middle School Science Fair!

Lots of Fall Science
This is my eighth year teaching Kindergarten and First Grade. I feel excited and blessed to able to do what I love! I praise God that I have the love and support of my husband and four children as I head into each new adventure: sharing God's love while instilling the joy of learning in young hearts!

One of the community helpers we learned about this week was, restaurant servers.
Then we made our own menus...
With Mrs. Girod's class this week we played a musical letter game...
During Social Studies we also learned about Bakers!
And decorated cookies!
First Grade was able to attend the Firefighter Phil program!
Stuffed Animal Day was a blast...the animals even helped out with our chores...Shockingly, I forgot to get more pictures!
Lastly, we learned about our sense of touch during Science and made texture collages...
Then we made our own menus...
