Field trip week:)
The Kinders started their week off with Mrs. Girod's class...fun times with letter sounds:)
In preparation for the upcoming field trip, we studied Firefighters...and did some fire painting!
Finally, our field trip arrived...
First was the Police Department with Stg. Mike Miller.
The police car...
Then, on to the Fire Department!
Next in Social Studies we discussed all we'd learned and made some fingerprints...
After talking about taking care of our bodies, during Health...
The Firsties did a soap science...
Growing Ivory soap:)
We had our first visit of the year from Mrs. Susan!
And, lastly, during Science we learned about our sense of hearing...
Rice Krispies were a little on the quiet side...
But, Pop Rocks, were amazingly loud!
Yes!! I got one that actually moves....
This is my seventh year teaching Kindergarten and First Grade. I feel excited and blessed to able to do what I love! I praise God that I have the love and support of my husband and four children as I head into each new adventure: sharing God's love while instilling the joy of learning in young hearts!
