Rest and Labor!

This week we used playdough to help us practice our vowels!

For our Social Studies this week, we learned about police officers and the laws that they enforce.
Then we made a traffic light snack...thanks Denver's mom, for the lights!😁

We have some new classroom pets! Iggy and Izzy. I'm hoping that we'll see their whole life cycle!
We learned about our sense of sight during Science, and made some pretty cool color-viewers!

Learning and Showing

In Math, we learned about the penny. Then we practiced counting pennies!

Handwriting can be hard work!
We started our Community Helpers Unit in Social Studies. This week we talked about Ministers...
And we made cards to send to some of our local ministers...

We also learned about firefighters...and we mixed red and yellow paint to make orange flames!

Our first Show-and-Tell was a huge success!

We even had a few minutes to play with their "shows"!

Two Weeks In!

 What a great 2026-27 line-up!

First Day Scavenger Hunt and Handprints!

During Science we learned that God knows the number of hairs on our heads! Then we made our own head of "hair"!

In Social Studies we are learning about communities...the places we live, play and work!

After talking about our homes, we made shape houses...

We also made our own community, and named it Kinder Town!

After reading the book, "Not Just a Scribble", we made...scribbles!

Cutting and glueing are skills we will master! (Just a dot, not a lot😁)

Family Show-and-Tell! (Thanks for the pics, moms!)

They are also learning to be "Bucket Fillers"! I can't wait to see how they continue to grow this coming school year!😍
