Dr. Seuss Week!

What a fun week we had leading right into Spring Break! Our Dr. Suess week looks like this....

Crazy Hair Day!

One Fish Two Fish Math!

Using sand to make Thing 1 hair!

In Social Studies we learned about the beaches in the Bahamas...hence the sand;)

Hat Day!

Number sequencing on hats!
We learned that in Mexico they have fiestas and use pinatas!

Enjoying the loot:)

Here the Firsties are working together to solve a Cat in the Hat word search...

March is Reading Month!

Last week our class made clay sculptures...this week they painted them!

Here the Kinders are spread throughout the room doing a checkup test:) Funny how excited they get to take a test!

We had a visit from Miss Susan! The last time she was here was in December, so the students were excited to have her back!
We have some "student teachers" in our classroom....
In Social Studies we learned about Canada. The students discovered that the USA and Canada share the Niagara Falls.
So when they bring home art work that you don't recognize, now you know what it means;)

In order to keep Reading interesting, the Firsties read in several different places this week...like this hideout! (AKA ping-pong table)

 Thursday was our Book Swap!

In Science we learned about baby mammals and how they drink milk when they are born. Soooo...
We used milk to make our own ice cream!!

 So cold!!!

But so worth the icy fingers!
