Post Spring Break...

We are back into the swing of things after our week off for Spring Break! We started off our week with a new country to study in Social Studies...England! After reading about the Tower Bridge, I challenged the class to create their own bridges over construction paper "water"...

 Teamwork in action!
If you are wondering about the party hats... we are studying shapes in Math and used the hats to represent the cone shape!

We also learned that they speak English, just like us, but some of their words are a little different! The students loved that in England they call the subway train, the tube:)
Today was our last day with Mrs. Daily. The students all signed a thank you card with a gift for her! (Thanks to Mrs. Girod!)

Also today, in Math, we talked about Symmetry. Everyone had fun cutting out different shapes on a fold to create equal halves.

Taking the place of handwriting, we practiced writing our full names and addresses...

In Science this week we made bird feeders!
A little messy but a lot of fun!

After having several students out sick this week, I'm prayerful we will have a full, healthy class next week!
