February is Here!

This week we learned about the Statue of Liberty!

On Tuesday we practiced being good "bucket fillers" and made pictures for each other! They love finding notes in their buckets!

At recess they made the biggest fort ever in K.A. Recess History!
In Social Studies the students reviewed their knowledge of our country and outlined the USA with spaghetti noodles...a fun squishy project!

Alphabet Bingo was a huge hit during one of our learning centers!

Science was an education in pond and ocean habitats. We used water beads to create our habitats and filled them with water creatures!

Groundhog Day was a good opportunity for a writing and craft project! Check out our hallway to see all of our groundhog names!
Along with learning about Groundhog Day we also discovered some interesting facts about groundhogs in this book....such as, they are not picky eaters and other names for groundhog are woodchuck and whistle hog!
