Refreshed after Spring Break!

We hit the ground running this week! Starting on Monday, in Social Studies, we learned about England. Tea time, anyone??

Tea was not everyone's favorite;)

Cheers!

A couple of days this week we actually had time for "Centers" at the end of our day...Lincoln Logs are a favorite.
The Kinders learned about subtraction in Math. Of course, it's more fun to learn with candy involved!

Next up in Social Studies was, France! The students had fun creating their own version of the Eiffel Tower using, toothpicks, marshmallows, and gummy candy...

The goal was to make them at least 3in. tall...

Every day we have a "Self-Read" time....

They are allowed to choose a spot anywhere...even under my desk;)
The Firsties finished their Health unit and we've moved on to 1st Grade Science...

 This week...Caterpillars to Butterflies!

Finally able to enjoy the spring sunshine!

Lastly, the ultimate Science project! This covers: parts/life-cycle of worms, alive vs. not alive, & color mixing!
 Live worms painting...

 Gummy worms painting...
